A Radio Postcard Journey - 61

A charming postcard featuring Kiki from the beloved Studio Ghibli film "Kiki's Delivery Service" has arrived via Postcrossing, sent by Agnia from Russia. The delightful image captures Kiki lying back in a field of green, seemingly enjoying listening to a red transistor radio.

This makes the postcard particularly interesting as it fits into a "radio postcard" theme, highlighting a peaceful moment of leisure. The lovely card offers a glimpse into Kiki's world beyond her delivery service, enjoying simple pleasures in a park-like setting.

A Radio Postcard Journey - 18

Got a delightful surprise in the mail today! 📬 This gorgeous postcard is from Teri in the US, sent through the Postcrossing Forum. It's part of the RADIOS series from the Philip Collins Collection, beautifully photographed by Sam Sargent and printed by Pomegranate Cards.

The star of the show is the iconic Emerson Model 744-B radio from 1954! The mid-century design is just stunning.  A big thank you to Teri for sharing this piece of radio history with me!  It's always a joy to connect with fellow postcard enthusiasts around the world. 😊
