The Greece Ministry of Digital Governance has been a reality since 2019 and operates as the public administration unit that, for the first time, brings together all the critical IT and telecommunications structures related to the provision of electronic services to citizens and the broader digital transformation of the country.
The main purpose of the Ministry is to create a modern, effective and inclusive digital governance that improves the lives of citizens, promotes transparency and leads to economic growth.
The Ministry aims to harness the power of digital technologies to transform public services and improve governance by ensuring the security and protection of digital systems and data, but also to create a more connected and participatory society through a citizen-centric approach, while also mitigating social inequalities.
